Guys I found an iPhone really fantastic. It's called Pushme.to http://itunes.apple.com/it/app/pushme-to-messaggi-istantanei/id343341970?mt=8 and iPhone uses push technology for sending and receiving free text messages.
The operation is very simple: just install it and start to record their own nickname, and after that you can begin to send and receive messages with your friends.
The amazing thing about this app is that you can use it via your browser and also from a PC / Mac or from another phone. Just open the link http://pushme.to/NICKNAME where instead of your nickname to be registered user and you're done. If you want to send me messages you simply go to http://pushme.to/pierinhood and compose your message. Leave the window open and you can answer.
